TSMC Strengthens Supply Chain Inclusion Practices, Creating Common Benefit for the Industry
Launched First Thematic Courses on Global Inclusive Workplace and Employee Resource Groups to Empower Sustainability Through Knowledge
TSMC has launched inclusive workplace courses through the TSMC Supplier Sustainability Academy, including the "Introduction to TSMC Global Inclusive Workplace" and "Meet Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)," to help suppliers build work environments with a stronger sense of belonging. TSMC also introduced the GIW & ERG Quick Start micro-course for employees, and incorporated it into mandatory onboarding training for new hires, further strengthening inclusive practices both internally and externally.

Improving the sustainability of the semiconductor industry is a vital part of TSMC's ESG practices. Through its self-built education platform, the TSMC Supplier Sustainability Academy, the Company shares a wide range of learning resources free of charge with suppliers and the public, leveraging the power of knowledge to strengthen the value of mutual benefit. Following the launch of three interactive bilingual courses covering ESG, SDGs, and human rights issues, TSMC further introduced two thematic courses, "Introduction to TSMC Global Inclusive Workplace (GIW)" and "Meet Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)" in the second quarter of 2026 to collaborate with suppliers in practicing an inclusive culture. In addition, a GIW & ERG Quick Start online micro-course was launched for employees and officially integrated into mandatory onboarding training in the third quarter, helping new hires establish a foundational understanding of an inclusive workplace and further strengthening their sustainability capabilities.
To extend its inclusive culture to the industrial ecosystem, TSMC designed these courses based on the "Global Inclusive Workplace at TSMC" statement and its People Vision, both of which describe how to create a work environment with a sense of belonging through institutional planning, employee experience, and the implementation of ERGs. By providing practical guidance and organizational analysis, TSMC aims to inspire supplier partners to tailor their own inclusive platforms based on their corporate cultures and workforce demographics, creating a positive social impact.
While empowering the supply chain externally, TSMC also reinforces its employees' commitment to inclusion in their daily actions through initiatives such as Global Inclusive Workplace Month (GIW Month) and TSMC Inclusion Day. The GIW & ERG Quick Start online micro-course, which was also launched in the second quarter of 2026, uses clear and easy-to-understand animated short films to concisely present the definitions and goals of the Global Inclusive Workplace and Employee Resource Group, guiding employees to make effective use of resources and actively participate in inclusion activities. In the third quarter, this course was incorporated into mandatory onboarding training for new hires to help them quickly grasp the value of inclusion and create a friendly workplace with a sense of belonging.
TSMC will continue to integrate internal and external resources by acting in the spirit of inclusion in daily operations through practice and sharing, while working together with employees and suppliers toward a sustainable future of mutual benefit.
- What is Inclusive Workplace?
An inclusive workplace enables every employee, regardless of gender, age, disability, religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, political affiliation, or sexual orientation, to bring their perspectives and experiences to work, thereby strengthening the Company’s innovation and competitiveness.
- What is an Employee Resource Group (ERG)?
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are employee-led voluntary groups comprising members who share similar identities, affiliations, backgrounds, or experiences and who come from under-represented groups. To fulfill its People Vision and cultivate a diverse and inclusive workplace, TSMC facilitated the establishment of ERGs.
