TSMC Publishes Five Theme Reports, Showcasing Progress in Shared Value

TSMC updates five theme reports to continuously strengthen sustainability management.
Overview

TSMC has published five theme reports to proactively respond to issues of stakeholder concern. This year, the Company included “Biodiversity” as a material issue for the first time, reshaped its net-zero commitments, and strengthened human rights governance. TSMC also introduced Integrated Profit & Loss and the Decoupling Rate to enhance impact assessment, while continuing to carry out the UN SDGs. Through these efforts, the Company aims to share its sustainability experience with external stakeholders and work with value chain partners to create a better future together.

Upholding the principle of transparent disclosure, TSMC proactively responds to issues of stakeholder concern through a wide range of theme reports, transforming its practical experience in sustainability into ESG knowledge shared with the public. In addition to publishing non-financial reports for 27 consecutive years, in August 2026 the Company comprehensively updated and released its Materiality Analysis Report, Climate and Nature Report, Human Rights Progress Report, Sustainability Impact Valuation Report, and UN SDGs Action Report. These five theme reports not only consolidate the collective wisdom of cross-functional collaboration but also demonstrate the concrete results of TSMC internalizing sustainability thinking into its operations. Through these efforts, the Company hopes to exert its influence on the industry and collaborate with value chain partners to shape a brighter, more sustainable future of shared prosperity. 

TSMC 2025 Theme Reports Highlights

TSMC continues to translate its vision of shared prosperity into tangible actions. To enhance its governance framework and address emerging challenges, the Company also introduced the Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy, Grievance Policy, Responsible Artificial Intelligence Policy, and Supply Chain Migrant Worker Management Policy in July 2026, and amended the Hazardous Substance Free Policy, embedding sustainable values across its operations.
