In alignment with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 3—Good Health and Well-being—TSMC actively implements comprehensive health management initiatives. The Company encourages employees to exercise and enhance their physical and mental well-being through three main pillars: creating an excellent environment, supporting sports clubs, and promoting sports events. TSMC is also the first company in Taiwan to obtain ISO 20121 certification for sustainable event management, further deepening its commitment to ESG development. In 2024, the sports season further broadened its reach by collaborating with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) such as Women@tsmc and Global Family@tsmc to promote the "Virtual Walking Challenge." This year, among the 20,924 participating employees, over 8,100 were female, accounting for 39% of the participants, exceeding the proportion of female employees in the Company and marking a 3% increase compared to last year. By engaging more employees both domestically and internationally, TSMC continues to cultivate a healthy workplace environment.

Running with Pets: Adding Fun to Exercise
TSMC is dedicated to encouraging employees to develop good exercise habits. The Company has consecutively received Taiwan’s Ministry of Education's Sports Administration iSports Certification for two terms. TSMC not only offers fitness spaces within its facilities for employees to exercise and relax but also encourages participation in various events during the annual sports season. This year, the 3.5-kilometer Mini Fun Run introduced a new category allowing employees to register with their pets for the first time. Activities such as the Pet Sprint and the Cat Owner Treasure Hunt added a creative twist, promoting exercise among employees and their pets. The Virtual Walking Challenge is promoted in collaboration with ERGs to increase participation among women and overseas employees. For the first time, employees from Huichu-Site and Tainan-Site running clubs were invited as guest speakers for expert live-stream sessions, sharing their experiences on integrating running into daily life. This initiative aims to make exercise an essential part of everyday life, embodying the principle of "Every Day is a Sports Day."
This year's Mini Fun Run was quite unique, featuring a new pet category that added an enjoyable element to the event. This addition catered to families with pets, making the run more inclusive and fun.
It’s good to share personal running experiences with runners. I hope this will have a positive impact on colleagues, encouraging more people to embrace an active lifestyle.
To create a supportive and diverse environment, TSMC will continue to implement its three main pillars. Each new fab will be equipped with a gym, sports clubs will be encouraged to participate in external contests, and new parent-child activities will be introduced during TSMC Sports Day. By creating a fitness-friendly workspace, the Company helps more employees enhance their quality of life, maintain physical and mental health, and achieve a balance between work and life.
