TSMC Japan Partners with Prefectural Office to Help Local Communities during Challenging Times of the COVID-19 Pandemic
In the face of the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, TSMC supports the communities the Company and its subsidiaries operate in, and, in Japan, we have seen resource shortages and decided to partner with the local prefectural office in Japan to help local communities to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. TSMC Japan has offered necessary goods to frontline medical professionals currently striving to work on the prevention and treatment of the novel coronavirus.
Joining Hands with Kanagawa Prefecture to Donate Goods
As the COVID-19 is spreading throughout the world, it is greatly impacting our lives, especially creating a huge burden to the medical healthcare system and leading to a serious shortage of healthcare resources and goods. As a result, in response to the shortage of infection prevention goods in Japan, TSMC Japan has decided to make a donation of these goods in cooperation with the Kanagawa prefecture. These goods such as protection gowns will be used for the prevention and treatment of the novel coronavirus at medical, regional and educational facilities. TSMC Japan has completed the donation and will continue to monitor the development of this pandemic in the future and provide necessary support.
On behalf of our team in Aozora Teran Nursing Care Station, we would like to express our gratitude for TSMC’s generous support to donate the gowns which are made of textile that enable us offering our dedicated care to our patients and keeping our daily work safe during these continued challenging moments caused by the COVID-19.
Committed to its social responsibility as a global company, TSMC has been promoting CSR activities in collaboration with various institutions. Our collaboration with the Kanagawa prefecture office this time is another example of how we commit to support local communities. We would like to wish for early recovery for all those who are now fighting infections, and hope that this crisis will come to an end soon.
