TSMC Partners with Hospitals in Europe during Challenging Times of the COVID-19 Pandemic
COVID-19 has impacted us on every aspect of our lives. To give back to the society, TSMC makes continuous contributions to support the communities the Company and its subsidiaries operate in, helping protect frontline healthcare providers and minimize the spread of the virus. In Europe, we have seen heartbreaking images of our healthcare providers under incredible strain. Therefore, TSMC Europe has partnered with local hospitals in Europe by leveraging our operational advantages including experience in supply chain management and logistics to extend the capacity at the point of need, to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Supporting Healthcare Heroes and Local People
With the rapid onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, resources especially Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) have been in high demand throughout the world, which has led to serious shortages at the very point where they are needed the most. So through a multi-national effort and by leveraging our experience in supply chain management and logistics, TSMC has shipped a significant amount of PPE, ventilators, and other vital equipment to many local hospitals in Europe such as Quirónsalud Toledo Hospital in Spain.
The reception of ventilatory assistance equipment donated by TSMC has been vital to offer the best care to our patients in these moments of great difficulty, caused by the coronavirus crisis. On behalf of the entire team that makes up the Quirónsalud Toledo Hospital, I want to convey our deepest gratitude for the generosity shown with our center.
The heroic first responders, doctors, nurses, and public health experts’ dedication is an inspiration to us all.
