Quality is the cornerstone of TSMC’s sustainable operations. In order to strengthen the raw material inspection and safety control and accelerate the for abnormal material event, TSMC built Taiwan’s first Advanced Materials Analytic Center (AMAC) in March 2021. The characteristics spectrum database of substances in raw materials was also established at the same time. In AMAC, all the risk materials analysis and identification can be completed within 12 hours by using the high-efficiency hazardous substance screening mechanism, 93% faster compared with the 7 days cycle time in the past.

TSMC never stops striving for excellence in quality. AMAC provides the most advanced and rapid testing capabilities to minimize the risks in the manufacturing process and ensure product quality to meet customer expectations.

Five Main Features of AMAC, TSMC

Adhering to the culture of pursuing excellence in quality, TSMC’s Advanced Materials Analytic Center will use the most rigorous criteria to evaluate and select materials used in advanced processes and . In addition, TSMC will continue to drive yield optimization, improve the incoming materials quality control, support major suppliers to strengthen their analysis capabilities, and provide excellent semiconductor manufacturing service to customers around the world.
